ARTIST BIO

Kansas City based contemporary, abstract artist, Michele Renee Sherlock, (b. 1964, Ohio, USA) has lived in three of the largest cities in the U.S., New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Her artistic influences began in her 20's when she moved to New York City and developed a love of art museums, art galleries and international travel. Sherlock's travels have taken her to Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and almost every state in the U.S.  During these travels, Sherlock would plan visits to the local art museums and significant architectural sites.

"I travel to absorb the culture and study significant local artists."

Sherlock has studied color theory, composition, collage, and intuitive theory in the U.S.  Michele has work in private collections throughout the U.S.

Currently, Michele enjoys working in her studio in Kansas City, Missouri.
